As an Audio Mixer, you will aid in executing efficient tactics of delivering a Minor League Baseball experience while ensuring exceptional quality on-air.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate proper Sound Effects during Live Gameplay.
  • Control Master Levels throughout Stadium.
  • Manage and Organize playlists for specific scenarios.
  • Edit and Ensure censorship of content.
  • Coordinate Visual Effects accompanied by Sound effects.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of Baseball Gameplay.
  • 2 years of Audio Production Experience

Ticket Sales and Services: Client Relations/Customer Service
Group Event Specialist – Aberdeen IronBirds - Aberdeen IronBirds (Aberdeen, MD)

Overview:

A successful Group Event Specialist’s primary responsibility is to schedule group outings with local civic groups, non-profit organizations, camps and partners. The Group Event Specialist will also be responsible for renewing an existing group of defined season and group ticketing clients and will be free to sell all Aberdeen IronBirds ticketing inventory including premium seating, suites, season tickets and mini-plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete approximately 75 phone calls per day to potential group ticket clients.

  • Renew existing ticketing accounts at a rate of 90% or higher.

  • Provide customer service to existing accounts by visiting with the accounts throughout the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact.

  • Attend community functions and events, representing the IronBirds’ organization in a friendly, sales-focused role.

  • Absorb objection-handling training, and implement strategies while on the phone with decision-makers.

  • Think creatively to enhance group ticketing opportunities for buyers.

  • Maintain database of new and existing prospects and clients.

  • Prospect for quality leads and build new sales from existing wait list.

  • Visit with accounts and maintain and develop relationships with season seat and group buyer clients.

  • Work all Aberdeen IronBirds games.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field

  • Strong ability to communicate

  • Drive, determination, and a strong work ethic

  • Willingness and ability to listen and learn

  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends
     

    Preferred:

  • Prior work experience or internship in professional sports

  • Interact, entertain, and communicate with fans.
  • Help develop new and interesting skits for entertainment.
  • Coordinate Community relations programs through Maryland featuring our team mascots.
  • Develop Theme night and promotional ideas.
  • Assist marketing, advertising, and sale initiative through in-game entertainment and community programs.
  • Communicate with fans, both face to face and via social media postings.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High-energy personality.
  • Ability and willingness to entertain fans on and off the field during various parts of each IronBirds game.

As a Production Assistant, you will aid in executing efficient tactics of delivering a Minor League Baseball experience while ensuring exceptional quality on-air.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate proper Camera Operations for Live Gameplay.
  • Ability to create specific CG graphics for Game Content.
  • Correctly coordinate multiple Live Elements through a Professional Video Switcher.
  • Effectively edit and archive Game footage.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of Baseball Gameplay.
  • 2 years of Video Production Experience
  • Efficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
  • Efficiency in Video Equipment [Studio Cameras, Switchers, Etc.]
  • Must be self motivated and have effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to efficiently receive direction.
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Additional Credentials:

Summary:

As a successful Ticket Sales Intern, your main responsibility is to learn the ropes and provide support in sales-related areas of the business.

The Ticket Sales Intern will assist in areas such as:

  • Ticket Sales

  • Game day Entertainment & Operations

He/she will:

  • Gain valuable experience in the baseball industry, with full training provided and the opportunity to work closely with all members of the IronBirds front office.

Qualifications:

We require:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation and the ability to take initiative

  • Enthusiastic attitude and outgoing, creative nature

We prefer:

  • The ability to work at least 20 hours per week during the school year; full time during the summer

  • Available to work all 38 Aberdeen IronBirds home games.

    Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours and weekends

  • Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions
