Ripken Baseball is seeking an energetic partnership cultivation and sales leader that can create strategic, high-value and high-revenue relationships by leveraging a range of platforms and owned assets. The candidate will play a critical role in the company’s future growth, one of youth baseball’s preeminent brands. This person has a preferred five to seven years’ experience in cultivating and selling high-level partnerships (or similar) to senior executives and has prior experience managing multiple direct reports and/or leading a department.
Being a visionary with skill and capacity to identify and cultivate business opportunities both locally and nationally
Create and maintain top-down sales and service excellence culture within department
Serve as primary seller of high-level partnerships
Oversee and mentor partnership fulfillment and activation personnel
Develop meaningful industry relationships that facilitate growth and new opportunities
Embrace The Ripken Way, an organizational philosophy, that encourages employees to do the right things, the right way, all the time
Proven experience selling and activating partnerships (or similar) in the six and seven-figure range
Past experience in a managerial capacity
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver difficult messages when required to do
Authentic understanding of the game and business of baseball
Strong ability to negotiate and think strategically, understanding the organization’s aims – not just those of her/his department
Ability to manage a staff and maintain disciplined timelines and productivity in a high-stress environment
